  • Lower back pain

I’m a marine corps vet with numerous disabilities & getting a bit long in the tooth. I’ve spent a great deal of time- the last 2 decades in and out of the VA going through treatments and taking the medications given me. I’ve had acupuncture in the past but with no results.

Dr. Chen is close to my son’s age. But his passion and knowledge about Chinese medicine & acupuncture is that of an ancient. My back is feeling the best its been since I left the Corps and his wisdom has convinced me & my wife to change our way of doing/living our daily health. I’d recommend him to all and hope to see him on our next cruise.

  • Lower back pain

I would highly recommend acupuncture to everyone who has a medical condition with traditional western medicine has failed. As a retired registered nurse, who had back surgery in 2002, I have suffered with lower back pain a long time.

Going to Dr. Chen’s seminar was very interesting and informative. Going for an individual consult was a good decision. Dr. Chen suggests a personalized treatment plan for each individual. I felt the information Dr. Chen provided, acupuncture may be a great alternative option to try. Dr. Chen is the kindest, caring person, his message is to give people a view of how eastern medicine treats a variety of medical conditions and associated pain with acupuncture and herbal supplements.

In conclusion, my back is feeling much better, I appreciate all the time and counseling provided by Dr. Chen who is a very educated, personable and kind.

Dr. Chen, I will never forget all you have taught me about eastern culture methods of balancing your body.

  • Back and knee pain

My husband had been having issues with back pain and sciatic nerve pain and numbness in his legs. We went on an excursion that had us sitting in a small, inflated tube going down a river for about 70-80 minutes.

The next day he could hardly walk because his knee was so painful. he went in for treatment for his back and knee as he was unable to even walk.

The next morning after the treatment, he had much less pain in knee and was able to get off the boat for our next trip at port. Without the treatment, he would have been stuck in bed instead of enjoying the cruise.

Would recommend his services to anyone who wishes to actually get treated and not just given a bottle of pills which don’t fix you.

  • Back, shoulder and foot pain

I have arthritis and metastatic bone cancer. Before my cruise, I was dealing with shoulder and hip pain as well as pain in the joints of my right foot/toes. I went to the spa to check out the menu of services on the first day of my cruise. And decided to try acupuncture, I wanted to enjoy the ports of call without pain in my hip, shoulder and foot.

My first treatment with Dr. Chen was amazing! I left the spa with no pain in my hip, shoulder, and foot. I was able to enjoy two ports of call (and all the walking involved) with no pain. During my second appointment, Dr. Chen also addressed edema in my feet and ankles. By morning, my feet and ankle had no swelling. I look forward to my third appointment before my cruise is over.

Six or seven from my group also saw Dr. Chen. One for sea sickness. All experienced outstanding results. Highly recommend Dr. Chen.
